Also, I really like the scope of Ashanti's vision. It is exactly what we need here in my view.

Why are you endorsing Ashanti Monts-Tréviska for City Council: I am endorsing Ashanti Monts-Tréviska for City Council because I believe in the change of transforming the city. The city where we can feel and call home.
Home to me is to feel welcome arriving to travel in Bellingham. I have been commuting to Bellingham, WA for 3 years, on and off. It is a second home from Vancouver, BC. I am often travelling to Bellingham for work and personal vacations.
Home to me is what I can appreciate in acknowledgement in the land we live is unceded Lummi nations, as well as I, am from BC, Vancouver in the Coast Salish Territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh.
I would like to introduce my friends in Bellingham, WA because it is a place that is also part of my home and others too.
I would like to see Ashanti, who is DeafBIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Colour) thrive as they are part of my communities to become leaders in the city of Bellingham.
I would like to see the truth is revealed where we can see each other of our ensure accountability and safety.
Being able, to tell the truth about unmasking experiences of internalization, social and systemic oppressions.
Being able to seek out on how to heal, decolonize and transform within me and the large community.
Home is the places of each in the hearts from our understanding of human to humxn experiences. And I believe in Ashanti will have these gifts to the city of Bellingham.
I believe it is time, to act and seek the truth that is being aflame.
